I actually have a playlist on my iTunes called "It's my funeral" I started compiling it after a dear friends suicide funeral a year or so ago. Since music has been such an important part of my life, it really made me think what sort of stuff I would like to be heard as my final send off:
1) Lucky Man - The Verve
2) 200 Bars - Spriritualized

4) Shine a Light - Spiritualized
5) 1000 Miles - Dirty Three
6) Suicide - Spacemen 3
7) Sad and Beautiful World - Sparklehorse
8) Green Arrow - Yo La Tengo
9) Goodbye Cruel World - Pink Floyd
10) Untitled 1 - Sigur Ros
11) Never Say Goodbye - Bob Dylan
12) Spiritual - Soulsavers
13) Lua - Bright Eyes
14) You're so Dear to Me - Breathe Owl Breathe
15) Rated X - Spiritualized
16) In My Time of Dying - Tom Brosseau (cover of the dylan/zep track)
I'll zip these songs and post them when I get to my music hard drive tomorrow, in my humble opinion, I feel like these songs best capture what I would like the tone of my funeral to be.- long fucking funeral.Jnr_Madison
