this is indeed a sad, ongoing situation. I can't really connect with what's going on over there because not only do I nor have I ever live in that area (nor have family or friends there), but I can't even begin to understand what or why they are fighting. Religion means almost nothing to me in my daily life. Yeah, I understand that basic principles of law and general morals in the society that I live in tend to be based on the teachings the bible or what have you, but to risk life and limb and family on making a statement that some dirt is all that just wouldn't be worth it to me. If some people came into the community that I lived and tried to oust me and my family, yeah, I'd fight back... but once they started shooting missles and shit, no thanks, I'm packing up everything and we're out. Violence solves nothing and only self-perpetuates. After hundreds of years nobody can really remember what the hell they're really fighting for, they only find new reasons to continue the fight because that's all they know.
