the best thing the west could do is to stay the hell away from there if this conflict escalates with say, Syria and Iran. Let them sort it out themselves.
The Israeli's damn well know they are part of the problem themselves. There is no reason to have any sense of empathy and sympathy.
I say choose for the suffocating way of neutralism.
Stay the hell out. No matter what. Even if it means the loss of some EU or US civillians there.
