  The day before my wedding i was running around picking up my tux, my wife's dress, getting money for the caterer.
  Well, i was zooming down the road trying to get back to my house where my wife, who was feeling ill, was entertaining her mom and siblings. i was going down this back road, and got nabbed for going 61 in a 35 (to be fair, it was an unpopulated stretch of straightaway). i told the cop that i was just getting stuff for the wedding the next day, and that i hadn't noticed how fast i was going, hoping to get SOME sympathy.
  His response? "You're having a heck of a day, aren't you" and then handed me a $212 ticket.
  It's alright though. i got out of it on a technicality and kinda made him look like a fool in court to boot.
