Not very dissimilar to the crisis in the 1930s in Germany which led to fascism, after the crisis the US will enter an era of nationalism, based on christian fundamentalism with Sarah Pallin in the lead
This is not a new movement btw, and has been intensifying over the past eight or nine years. They believe that America is the land of God's chosen people, and God wants the U.S. to wage war against the "wrong" and "infidel" regimes.
