In the states, people have gone all politically correct about Christmas. Because not everyone celebrates Christmas, most people say "Happy Holidays" to avoid pissing others off. It's wank, imho. If people get offended by "Merry Christmas", I believe they should get off their high horse and chill out. If I went to Israel around this time of year and was told "Happy Hanukkah" by everyone I met, I sure as hell wouldn't get my knickers in a wad over it.
