I've only bought unimportant non family gifts - every year I have worked here we have been paid a week early for christmas to alleviate the monetary pain of the festive season (we don't get paid much), its been very handy many times. This year, without announcement or fanfare, we are not I find out today (when we would normally have been paid). I have no money (and I mean NONE) left now, and do not get paid till Xmas day.
Xmas is canceled.
