usually companies towards the end of the year do not generally hire new comers to the industry as it vvery crunch time before the holidays. i suggest you keep sending out your resume and try to make appointments for first week january. this will be when those companies look to hire junior designers, when the overload calms down a bit and training and lighter work can be dealt.
