using people in Ads

    The images of people I use try to convey the emotion of the Ad such as confidence or happiness, etc. Sometimes the connection is not to strong though. I just feel that a human approach can make the Ad feel more approachable. Not using any personal at all in the Ad just seems like a safe way to avoid the issue. My boss feels that if there is a full page newspaper ad, and half the Ad is a person to draw you in, that the Ad is just wasting all that space...

    On a very basic level, I was just hoping to find some documents that show that people are infact drawn to other people in Ads.
