People take the piss out of it but they just don't know how to use it.
If you have the right project you will have your designs out of the door probably 500% faster than you would with photoshop.
The speed you can copy and stack effects about it great and the proper vector tools are much faster than messing about with shape layers in photoshop (slider to instantly round box corners etc).Its just been so badly neglected, the interface is really buggy in places, a few of the effects are not as polished as photoshop versions (dirty edges on some bevels), the fact it renders sub pixels but doesn't let you adjust them so things can get stuck between pixels.
I could go on...I use it every day I just wish it was in the hands of a competent dev team...
