    ---------------BUMP...

Went to see this over the weekend....overall it is a pretty good movie. They took certain liberties with the original story, some were good, others deviated too much from the original film imo. The special effects were good, and I like how they didn't over-do them.

If you are a fan of the original this is definitely worth seeing, though don't go expecting it to be an epic film. I find great irony in the propaganda attached to this film....since when you watch the original (though a great film) it is complete propaganda and a push for the United Nations. This film deals with a more current issues of the environment, and the undertones of "global warming" and "saving our planet from mankinds destruction" are blatantly obvious. Somebody with a "green" agenda obviously had some influence on this film.

Keanu once again plays his "one role" and he has eerily similarities to a Christ-like figure. He must have a real fascination with playing this type of character over and over.

It ends somewhat abruptly, and there are few things that were not explained very well, but overall a good film worth seeing to anyone into sci-fi films.

    • what's with the air quotes around 'green"?TheBlueOne
    • well I am using that word in the way that others commonly use it I guess, not really in the true definition of the word.designbot
    • Words have true definitions?

      Plato would be proud.
      Nairn
    • Reeves would suck in most other roles. Only two roles he can play are this one and the cop.Jaline
