I effin hate this bullshit about engagement rings! It's so Romantic Comedy Hollywood crap! There is no point and no originality. The fact that you are asking someone to spend their life with you is enough of a big deal but nobody cares about that!
When a girl gets engaged, and tells her family or friends, the first thing that comes out of their moufs is 'Oh my Gosh! Let me see the ring!!!" WTF? How about congratulations on a huge decision and commitment or for having found the love of your life?
