every time i post a response a few sentences long, i am overcome by a sudden feeling of regret. i reread my response to make sure i haven't said anything that comes across as offensive -- or reveals personal details about myself. convinced that i have said something that i will come to regret in time, i take a sip from my flask to help keep me calm.
