I put a 120gig hdd in my xbox. Works very good with almost no loading times during gameplay. You can play online, but not with Live!. I would recommend http://www.xlink.com if you own a chipped xbox. These are also okay, install all three and you can use them all - http://www.xbconnect.com & http://www.gamespy.com
