I've been listening to more comedy podcasts, and realized something. A few of them (probably more) bitch about everything under the sun, and love being mean.

Keith and the Girl are guilty of this at times, but I enjoy them. I think they do have better jokes and also tend to know their facts before discussing things, or at least have listeners who will correct them (live, through a feed and/or chat) if they get something wrong. Even if they do complain about something, they (along with their friends) will assure the listeners that they are actually nice people in person. It also depends on the specific episode.

I just listened to an episode of Red Bar Radio, and, while I understand it's a comedy show, I can't take more complaining. To be fair, they did state that this was one of their worst episodes, but you can tell, right away, which hosts admit they don't know much about the subject they are talking about, and which ones will continue to rip someone apart without having any knowledge about the topic.

If you are attempting to tear apart another person while pretending like it's "just comedy", and claim that the listeners who dislike this style just "don't get it", at least be knowledgeable about the topic you are focusing on. Otherwise it makes you sound like an idiot.

Many comedy podcast hosts try to disguise their chronic complaining issues by claiming that the listeners just don't understand comedy, which I disagree with.

    • hahah, yea, that's sure how I felt after my first listen of K&TG. I'll try again though.
