I think people who work in print should definitely learn web. 20 people who work on the magazines were recently laid off at my work. Mostly due to a lack of ad sales in the publications. Those laid off were unable to be re-assigned to other (online) positions because they lacked the knowledge of web design. I'm sure it will be a growing trend as magazine sales decline?
