I like the actual Christmas week and subsequent New Year stuff. I love that it snows here during the month of December. It makes Christmas more real. But anything before the week before Christmas is ridiculous. Our Thanksgiving is in October, and therefore the Christmas stuff comes out around Halloween time. It's probably similar in the states. I just hate how obsessed people are with shopping and how many people don't even know what they are celebrating. Not that you always have to have a reason, but...I don't know. Something about the entire thing bothers me. My family is cool about it, but I hear others who can't stop obsessing over the holiday.
