I'm just listening to vintage Roxy Music. Brian Ferry absolutely insists that for the love of a good woman he'd be prepared to "grow potatoes by the score" in the 1972 song 'If there is something'.
He's really emphatic about it. I'd go so far as to suggest he's absolutely driven by a force much greater than mere man can withstand. A force that compels him to grow the potatoes in multiples of twenty.
