I have a friend who works for a company that buys stocks, and then sells them very quickly. They do this in enormous numbers....all in a matter of a few seconds.
Not really sure how this works (or how it dffers from just trading), but somehow they are able to turn out records profits despite all that is happening with the market. In fact the day of the big market crash, they literally made a huge record profit. Crazy stuff....emailed him thinking his job might be in jeopardy and found this out.
