No particular reason, just never got around to signing up, even tho I was a long time NT reader, and then a bit of a forum whore back in the dreamless days. YH, while elegant with a lot of neat features, is still just an invite-only box that doesn't invite nearly as much talent as it could. Every place seems to have their cliques and white knights, but after mulling over the same topics over and over again and getting involved with the real people behind the internet drama, I've been craving a different perspective to fulfill the creative impulse.
Having to constant urge to create and make stuff is really my motivation. The prospects of collaboration, learning new quirks, reading what others find interesting, just not locked up in a sheltered self-moderated place like YH.
Sometimes you need a taste of the real open water.
