If you want to be really safe, keep Penguin mints, Caffeine kicks, and the magnificent stay-awake power of Bawls near you at all times. I recommend a small fridge near your desk. Also have insane amounts of Cheese Nips and Vanilla Wafers to keep the hunger at bay.
Though the best tips are the ones you already know. Keep your cool. Do your best. Show 'em what you're made of. If you're not sure about something, ask for a second opinion.
And here is something that might get me hurt here: Follow the standards. Valid HTML 4.01 transitional works in most browsers. There are exceptions. If you absolutely must make something work in Netscape 4.x, then you may want to just dismiss them entirely, but if you don't it is very easy to make sure you're valid.
Also, if you're having trouble getting things exactly right, do a sketch. I find that this sometimes helps me visualize where everything is supposed to be. Then I can easily see it on the screen.
Just some generic tips from your neighborhood standards freak. Brought to you by the W3C. :)
