Everyone's still making a profit, from the people sucking out of the ground, transporting it, refining it, hauling it and selling it. So for all this time that it was above a dollar-and-something, someone was fucking off with an absolutely enormous amount of cash.
Plus the stock market has teetered over a hole that it needs 900 billion dollars to even nearly smooth out, and someone somewhere has just right properly fucked off with an enormous amount of money....
