I just spent 1.5 hours trying to get my mom a Tamil font and keyboard for her computer. It was waaay more hassle than I had originally thought it would be. I had to download around 4-5 different programs, most of which didn't work properly. Then I figured out that font could be the problem, so I re-downloaded a bunch of those. Then I had to re-install some fonts from the XP installation CD. It fixed some of the problems, but there are still some things where I suspect my mother will have to figure it out for herself (troubleshoot).
She said, "You don't give me enough credit. I can figure it out". Heeh. I fully expect she'll need me tomorrow (while I'm at work) to explain how to export a file into HTML and then how she has to open the program first and then go File > Open > file name, because there is some glitch if you try to open the file itself, wherever it is located. Oh wellz. It's all because she agreed to take on some extra, unpaid work from a co-worker a her school who wanted some document translated into Tamil.
- You'd think that little accessibility keyboard in XP would be larger for people who can't see as well.Jaline

- If I can’t relate, I don’t comment.
