    Its the business of music promotion. Surely you're not experiencing it for the first time now! Record labels bend over backwards to reward anyone in media for hailing them as 'the greatest ever so and so since..." and it works too.

    Girls Aloud were nothing but a horrific joke until about 2 years ago when suddenly, and for no apparent reason, everyone from Elton John to Fearne Cotton suddenly got on board and heaped them with critical priase. I distinctly remember the moment the 'spin' began becuase I look out for that kind of thing and couldn't quite believe that shower of shite were next up for the 'buzz'.

    Music Industry cares not for originality or talent, it just wants to sell, and the biggest consumer market is the one with the least demanding tastes and no ear for critical discernment.
