Skip Cozumel, rather go down to Tulum and Akumal, Riviera Maya area. There are some sights to see, ruins, etc. and some decent lagoons to swim in, etc. Topless beaches.
I agree with scottmacster, it's HIGHLY overrated and a tourist trap in general.
