+ hearing about a project at 11am, that is due by EOD

+ telling the pm there is no way a psd concept workflow can be designed in one day and maybe, MAYBE i can sketch out the flow to show proof of concept, which is all the client really needed

+ getting approval to sketch out the flow with absolutely no time to consider usability, and spend the day drawing semi-high detail sketches showing the flow of the process, complete with hand-drawn icons and colored pencils to help the client get it, which the pm assured me the client would in fact get it.

+ hearing back 3 days later that the client in fact did NOT get it and i'll have to create in Ps what i sketched, and i only have one day to do it.

+ the client loves the concept and wants to proceed with the project and ask for a timeline. the project would be the equivalent of building a car on any major carmakers site. i tell the pm and em that something like this would take at least 5 - 6 months considering usability studies, wireframes, testing, re-testing, design, development, testing... etc.

+ they informed the group on monday that the project has to be live jan 1 because the client had 500k they had to spend this year, and no matter who we had to throw under the bus we were going to get that 500k.

+ welcome to the 70 hour work week until jan 1.
