    "Kelp are large seaweeds (algae), belonging to the brown algae Laminariales. Some species grow very long indeed, and form kelp forests".

    Which leaves me wondering if the former was merely a salmon tangled up in the latter, viewed on a misty Scottish morn by an elderly man with cateracts who was prone to hysterical exaggeration.

    No offense Kelpie, but you might actually be nothing more than a fish tangled in algae.
