  Increase the darkness of the background stuff.
  The lines, the 5 degree angled lines, the dividers, etc...

  it's barely visible on my macbook, and in windows low opacities that range from 0-12 percent tend to get lost.
  Apple deals better with low contrast.

  and yep. darker text.

  and how about a footer or something? at least add more space at the bottom since the last line of text is touching the edge of the browser window
