what about friends? do you know many peeps around the town?
maybe start a qbn LA meet and greet. go join a book club. get out there man with the idea to meet people not just hookup.
unless you're going to do the club thing it's not going to be the easiest sell unless you're a smooth talking 2nd hand car salesman type.
