what did she want? or was it just a general "hi, how are you?"
i can imagine that must be uncomfortable and bring up memories. if you have nothing to say, or if you are just too uncomfortable to respond, then don't. don't answer until you have some semblance of peace about it if you like. she can only get in your head if you let her in.
