hahaha come on you guys - I don't spend my weekends on here. Gimme sometime (thanks for checkin in though). Friday night was great. We met after work and grabbed some food at Gordon Biersh, always a good choice. Then we met my some friends and headed down to Denver for the show. To be completely honest, Leftover Salmon isn't my normal choice of music - but Jen n Josh (the friends) really wanted to go and I hadn't any better plans. And it turned out my date wasn't really into them either - so we just stood off to the side and talked the entire time. We have a ton in common but working in completely different fields, there's a lot to talk about that neither of us know anything about.
Later in the night, slightly intoxicated, I admitted to him that I thought he was out of my league - which made him laugh. He said he just thought that I was used to settling to lower standards because there's nothing better around and that we're very close in 'leagues' if I wanted to define something a long those standards. I asked him what he thought and he said 'Being around you is better than not'. If he's used that line before - oh well - but I was on cloud nine the rest of the weekend.
We ended going out for Vietnamese on Saturday night and watching There Will Be Blood. But - so far, so good. We're doing an election night tomorrow evening... I'll keep everyone in touch!
