Maybe, but not necessarily.
It could have been a spider crawling through and digging up emails. Since your email is posted here on a public message board, it's possible that all the spam was just an unfortunate result of your email addy being discovered by one of these spiders and your email host doesn't have good enough spam filtering.
Though judging by some of this knuckleheads on this site, its also very possible (maybe even likely) that it happened just as you describe.- I don't think the QBN shows the email in the HTML.Jnr_Madison
