My uncle did some research into the Irish side of my Family Tree about ten years ago. It turned out that we had a Captain in the Navy in the first World War, and this is where it starts to get bloody freaky. The Captain just happened to be placed at Chatham Dock Yard in Kent where I have lived most of my life, My uncle then found a Picture of the Captain which was taken for the Royal Navy at the Chatham Dock Yards. He looked the spiting image of Me.
It was Christmas when all this was happening, so for a joke I thought it would be a good idea to take the historic picture of the Captain who looked like me around the room and tell the family that it was me in Fancy Dress and to see if any of my family who now me well could tell the difference, not one of them pick up it was not me. My uncle then ask the room for silence and proceeded to explain the situation to every one in the room. They where all in shock that it could not be me in the picture, and for the first hour denied it was anyone els, it was only when my uncle showed the family the rest of his historic research that they understood, and where amazed at how mush we looked alike. It, it was like the film, The Shining at the end when Johnny is the Care Taker, and has always been the Care Taker, I have always been the Captain, Fucked up.
