  well written, but there was A LOT of excess flowery language that made it difficult to read. Like, I get it ... it's grey and dark and the world is a mess.

  That being said, I felt totally emotional at a couple of points. Moreso than any other book I've ever read.

  It should be interesting to see how the movie is treated.

  • Yeah, me too... like the part where the boy is so thin, too thin, and the father goes off and yells in anguishgramme
