xanax is for anxiety attacks; it's like Valium Lite (only lasts 6 hours). pretty easy to get your doc to cough up (alprozolam is generic name i think).
i've been on a saline drip while hung over, too...but it was because i passed out and got bit by black widows in my sleep (seriously). needless to say, the hangover was the least of my concerns (i like to think i passed it on to the little fuckers who bit me).
