I think it has more to do with software developments than hardware...
Sure, the hardware will make everything run faster, but in the end it will be up to the designers and programmers to create the world.
I'm sure there'll be more touch screen interfaces, using physics and real-world behaviors so that when we interact with the screen it'll be more like how we interact with things on our desk. I'm waiting for internet glasses, so we can change how we see the world in real time while walking around. :)
