i have a similar behavior, Jaline, where i feel like i have to do things differently than has been done before. For example, in audio, if there's an effect (delay, reverb, chorus, whatever) i can never bring myself to use one of the preset settings, all of which sound great, i'm sure. i have to tweek it myself, even if it ends up being worse than the preset. i'm working to overcome this malady.
