Personally I think it is bound to happen everywhere.
I love the internet, it's paid the bills for 10 years now, I love the theory behind an egalitarian media channel, but I think it's in danger of killing itself.
You can't show an image of lets say some of the pic of the day images on the TV, or in a magasine or be explicit on the radio. So as the internet has become more mainstream, I kind of think it's only right that it has begun to fall under the same kinds of rules that all other media has to follow.
I think a more regulated, better organised internet would allow it to become the main media channel in the world that it always should of become.
We have freedom of speach in the UK, but we also have libel laws and a code of conduct.
