yes, it'll look a whole shitload better, and continue to get more useful.
if google keeps teaming up with adobe we'll see more full-flash sites i think. we won't be limited to the fonts on everyone's computer anymore as a (finally), and we'll see richer forms / interaction as standards.
more interactive online/offline HTML applications are coming with some of the standard shit coming in HTML 5, including client side SQL storage.

mobile web will continue to grow and be huge, especially with goog pushing android and apple pushing iphone. internet everywhere.
