capsize, you really just went off on a tangent. The military is slightly different than exploiting minorities for political gain. I disagree with the advertising that brings the minorities to join the military. But it's not a Republican agenda as much as you might want to label it as such. Military and ACORN are completely different. What is ACORN doing to help the people they've exploited? At the very least the military helps support soldiers who are hurt in the line of duty. When I said I don't support goarmy.com, I mean I do not agree with the philosophy of advertising to minorities to exploit them. Now you've got me running along side you in your tangent argument. But seriously, I know you're dug in and all but can't we all agree that exploiting minorities and the poor for personal agenda are a bad thing? Or is it always going to be the argument that 'well these guys do this and that's wrong,' 'oh well, look at what your guys do, it's completely wrong'...maybe I was the only one who learned that two wrongs don't make a right? Because in my opinion, there is a lot of bullshit flying around that people are trying to justify into extinction based on party affiliation.
- There is no doubt the army, especially in wartime, needs warm bodies. The warm bodies it gets are generally from the underclas. The army does NOT support those injured in battle...casualties are north of 20 thousand********
- underclass. Its exploitation.
The Army does not support injured soldiears as well as it should. Walter Read was a scandal and still is.******** - scandal and still is. We have north of 20,000 casualties of the war. The only good thing about the army is that it is a true meritocracy: gov't mandated.********
- meritocracy. A man or woman can succeed. See Gen Powell for instance. Stooge though he became.********
- No=one , least of all me says exploitation is OK , it isn't. The question is where is it instituitonalized? The way things are? That is our enemy.********
- ... I should post a regular entry.********
