  The images don't inherently have any resolution..thats just metadata added to the file.

  All they reaaly have is x by y dimensions and a color depth.
  Assuming they are all the same pixel dimensions, you could just sort by file size.

  Or you could use something like iView MediaPro to read any of the data (or embedded data such as the 'assigned' DPI), from the whole set and generate a text listing of the set...
