  Originality is over-rated. Most people I know who aim at "being original" (or at least bore you to tears talking about it at parties - Yes Williamsburg I am looking at you) usually just come up with clever ways to be exactly the same as everyone else. Fuck originality - or at least the whole "trying to be original" thing. The more you quest for it the more it runs away. Just do your fucking work with heart and conviction and the originality that only you can bring to the work will be there automatically.
