JazX, I'm not sure how a McCain presidency would really represent any of your points to your liking...

    * Section 8 exists because of poverty. I don't see poverty or issues of class being remotely touched by a McCain presidency...and I can only imagine that we will get more of the same...more upper and lower and shrinking middle.

*Guns...I'm not sure Obama has expressed a desire to implement gun control...maybe he has? I dunno but I can't see an Obama presidency changing gun control.

    * Socialism and health care...do you think McCain's plan to tax health care benefits is a step in the right direction? Serious question. I can't see how his plan really addresses your concern. Obama wants to mandate health care for children only.

*Vietnam/War, etc. That is a shame what happened to your dad. I've heard thoughts from a lot of Vietnam vets and many of them really oppose this war. Again, I'm not sure how a McCain presidency serves our troops well. It seems that there is a republican notion that lying about reality in the name of honoring our troops goes against the value of not putting our troops in harms way.

I seem to remember that you are a libertarian, no? I am not trying to sell you on Obama...there are things about him I'm not sure about and sure it would be great if we weren't bogged down in a two party system. But we are. I personally feel that a McCain presidency will destroy America. It seriously scares me. I don't know how effective Obama will be as president; anyone walking into this mess is in a no win situation but I trust his judgement and intentions way more.

    • I don't think McCain completely supports all of my ideals either. Less of the evils, from my point of view.

    • Anyway, you asked, so I thought I'd post. I like Libertarians principles. Small Gov, low taxes.

    • small gov = bigger corporations
