  I was for 2 years while in school and haven't renewed my membership since graduating. It was more of a social club for designers than anything... which i'm not exactly the social club type of person. They sponsored plenty of events and fundraisers however for design and arts related events. I guess it mostly depends on your personality and how outgoing you are if you will benefit from something like AIGA.
