I'll give you 2 to 1 that the E slanted in with the V right up until someone at 5 got nervous toward the end of the revision process.
Don;t really like it, but I can see why they want to distance themselves from the ubiquitous H-elv-egemony. I mean there was a documentary film made about how it was everywhere last year, that is 100% going to spook marketing people who need their brand to stand out from the crowd. However clunkily they eventually execute it.
Not seen it in context yet though so can't really comment on how good or bad it is. TV branding moves, only when you see the full package can you really judge it.
