Teleos. In my opinion the growth of religion matches the social patters of economic and cultural decline. As evident as obesity in for example the american culture is mainly a problem among the poor people that cant afford to buy healthy food. Religion follows the same patterns of cultural and social decline where people clung to the old ways, to security and to otherworldy things to explain things they simply dont have the mindset, the background or the will to leave to themselves to understand. This is the way i see it, very much caused by how each and every countries culture is built and works. The smaller northern hemisphere european economies with higher average educational levels as well as other similar factors does not suffer as much religious diversions as say the USA. This i believe, and it is yet my opinion and interpretation of the facts at hand comes from a great personal security, a more diverse schooling system and a much more open society. And of course close to no christian imigrant minority such as the afro-american and the hispanic USA has.
