i've spent jobs sitting in a herman miller aeron chair and mirra chair, the life chair from knoll, and the freedom chair from humanscale. the freedom chair was the one i ended up buying for myself. it adjusts automatically to your posture, the upholstery doesn't grab your clothing, and it's what jack bauer sits in at ctu when he is not busy fucking up the chinese terrorists.
i got mine for around $500. you can probably get a good deal if you google a bit as they usually sell for around $850 or so.
