I'm with Morning Star there!My dad has some old books from the 70s or early 80s. You may be able to find them online? they were called GRAFFITI and the books were just full of daft graffiti from around the world. i dont mean stencil stuff or funky text ... just shit like
Poster: "Bill Posters Will be Prosecuted"
Graffiti under: "Aww, poor Bill Posters!"
kinda stuff.
There was also another book that my dad had called "NEW Masterpieces" which was a book full of old classic paintings where they'd airbrushed or painted in joints into mouths, people on motorbikes instead of pushbikes - you get the idea.To me banksy is just doing exactly the same as what these books were. If genius is being 30 years late then yeah - he's a genius!
