I feel like there are a limited number of super powers that any piece of literature or medium can use while still keeping the show / characters / things interesting. So, while it's obvious that most of the writers get their inspiration from comic books, it's difficult to come up with new super powers that viewers won't immediately link back to a previous comic book character, AND that could work with a storyline present within "Heroes". That's why I always cut them some slack when it comes to re-using powers.

The dialogue has always needed work on this show. Other than that, I thought the first two episodes were well-done, kept me interested, and moved more quickly than episodes from previous seasons.

I loved the bits where they took into account what the viewers were talking about on message boards and blogs. For example, as mentioned above by kona, the part when Sylar says that it's disgusting to eat brains. It added humour to the show.

Every character Ali Larter (Nikki / Jessica / Tracy) plays still puzzles me.

Hey, Jessalyn Gilsig (who has guest-starred on many random shows) is back as Claire's real mom! I like how they just make her use her fire-generating powers on-screen for like 1 second every time she's on the show. It's a bit cheesy :P

I still love Kristen Bell (Elle) and completely forgot that she was on this show. She and the actor who plays Jesse (the guy that present-day Peter is trapped in) were good friends on "Veronica Mars", so it's a bit weird to see them acting alongside each other again.
