I haven't worked in 3 months, freelance pay is going down and a lot of my friends have lost their jobs. I never really thought that would happen in NYC. Granted, I've turned down jobs bc I didn't think the pay was fair enough. (I can afford to do that a little, due to being younger and having less life responsibilities.) It helps if you do anything flash/interactive... I'm applying to American Apparel tomorrow, I'll probably be over-qualified again. But think about everyone who works in factories/sales... They're fucked. Food prices have Definitely been going up. The US will never be the same again bc we live in a global world, but it'll pick up again someday, not soon. Be happy if you have a job, and save! (I think Europe will follow, but that's just my opinion.)
